I'm a freelance writer and researcher. My work has been published in the New York Times Magazine, New York, Lucky Peach, Saveur, and elsewhere. Most recently I was the senior editor for New York magazine's Grub Street. Previously, I cooked in restaurants, worked as a consultant to local food markets, and lectured about clams and clam-bar history at the South Street Seaport Museum.
